It’s Market Monday - where we share housing market updates with you! This morning the Washington Post compiled predictions from numerous real estate experts about what they think is in store for the housing market in 2018.
The general consensus is that low supply we saw in 2017 will continue into 2018, driving prices higher and that mortgage rates will begin to rise, some saying it will climb to 4.5% by the end of the year.
As far as how the new tax bill will affect the market, the jury is still out.
“Some experts are anticipating prices won’t rise nearly as fast because of the new law. Others say it will help first-time home buyers enter the market,” The Washington Post reports.
